Certain aspects of graffiti are discussed by various authors: Stefan Eins, Steven Hagen, Froukje Hoekstra, Henk Pijnenburg, Yasmin Ramirez, Johannes Stahl, Jack Stewart, Greg Tate. There is an extensive essay on the history and development of graffiti. Other aspects which are dealt with are: the interaction between graffiti, dance, fashion and music; the resistance graffiti encountered; and the transition from subway writer to artist-painter. The book contains interviews with graffiti artists, and quotes by museum directors, gallery owners, and collectors.
